Every second a child from Ukraine becomes a refugee
Some 1.5 million children have had to leave the country since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to United Nations Children’s Aid Fund spokesman James Elder. Earlier, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office reported that 97 children have been killed so far as a result of the Russian-inspired conflict, with at least five dying under fire every day.
