Children in Ukraine

Helping children in crisis:

We have all been shocked by the horrific scenes of war in Ukraine.

More than 4.5 million people have fled the violence, and almost half of them are children. For almost every second of war, a child in Ukraine becomes a refugee. Across Britain, wonderful people like you have joined together in solidarity with children and families whose lives are being torn apart. Your generosity means we can help children in Ukraine and around the world get through the most difficult times in their lives.

How your donations help children

Our teams in Ukraine are responding where they can, and will continue to do so as long as it is safe and possible. We are:

Distributing winter clothing kits and blankets;

1. Providing cash and voucher assistance to families for basic needs such as food, rent and medication;
2. Providing vital emotional support to children and their families;
3. Providing access to safe, inclusive and quality education; Providing basic non-food items and outreach services.

UKRAINE APPEL

We’re also calling on both sides to the conflict to:

Ensure full humanitarian access to families affected by the crisis. This is necessary to assist and protect the most vulnerable children. Recognise that the use of explosive weapons in populated areas can cause serious harm to people, especially children, and commit to avoiding their use. Immediately stop and prevent attacks and threats of attacks on schools, students and teachers. People in Ukraine need peace. And people around the world are demanding it. How you can help Thanks to the support of people like you, we will help even more children get the life-saving help and a chance for the future they deserve.
