More than 1.7M+ children have fled war.
More than one million children have fled conflict areas to neighbouring countries in less than two weeks since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund Catherine Russell said last Wednesday.
The UNICEF chief said she was horrified by reports of a Russian air strike on a maternity and paediatric hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. – Children in Ukraine desperately need peace, Russell stressed.
